naafi is a composer, sound artist, and producer based between Glasgow and London. Working across electronic music, interdisciplinary collaboration and performance, their practice explores transitional states, emotional, spatial, and structural. Whether in solo works or collaborative projects, naafi’s music attends to cycles, shifts, and the unresolved: the moments in-between. Their compositions often emerge through field recordings, voice notes, sketches, conversations. Moving between abstraction and intimacy, these works are shaped by a listening-based process that prioritises dialogue and emotional attunement. Recent collaborations span contemporary classical to experimental pop, including co-writing and vocal work on TAAHLIAH’s 2024 debut Gramarye, and contributions to Alliyah Enyo’s Echo’s Disintegration. Their practice remains open to shifting methods—reworking electronic ideas for live contexts or adapting their voice to new roles—driven by an interest in how sound operates across forms and disciplines. Presented at Sonica Festival and Cooper Gallery, their work has developed through collaborations with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and artist-choreographer NXA, reflecting an ongoing curiosity about form, collaboration. Additionally, they have supported experimental electronic artists such as TAAHLIAH, DJ Haram, LUXE and OTIK.
